Five-Day Advanced Surveillance Course

Course Overview:
This hands-on, immersive five-day course is designed for law enforcement officers who are currently engaged in—or preparing for—surveillance operations. Surveillance is a key investigative tool in law enforcement, providing critical insight into criminal organizations and day-to-day operations. The course will teach attendees how to incorporate surveillance as a vital investigative technique, with practical exercises to enhance skills in tracking suspects and conducting successful trash pulls.

The course emphasizes surveillance as an "Art," offering attendees the opportunity to participate in realistic, complex scenarios. Over four days of practical, field-based exercises, attendees will engage in surveillance simulations that replicate the challenges of tracking suspects and maintaining covert operations.

  • Integrating surveillance into investigative techniques
  • Proper methods for installing tracking devices
  • Conducting successful trash pulls
  • Understanding the role of surveillance in criminal investigations
  • Observing the operations of criminal organizations
  • Maintaining a covert role during surveillance
  • Techniques for following suspects without being detected
  • Realistic, hands-on surveillance exercises

Course Fee:
$595.00 per attendee

Course Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
    Dress code: business casual, with clothing appropriate for undercover or surveillance operations.

Travel & Accommodations:
Out-of-town students are responsible for arranging their own accommodations.


Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least seven days prior to the start of the course for a full refund (minus a $25 service fee per attendee) or full credit toward a future course.
